Who invited Doris?
Although not a whirlwind romance, the wedding of our very own boothologists Jaime and Andrew certainly swept us all away. Following a romantic New Year’s Eve proposal at the top of the Rockefeller Centre in the heart of New York City, the pair chose to marry just seven short weeks later, entrusting their wedding day to the safe hands of the wonderful team at The Spa Hotel in Saltburn.
When it came to the precision planning, there was of course only one gal for the job, our co-founder Karen, who as matron of honour left no stone unturned, with lists galore to ensure that every element of the Gatsby themed day ran like clockwork.
With their five gorgeous boys by their side, our dynamic duo were the first couple to ever tie the knot in The Spa’s conservatory, which allowed guests a stunning view of Storm Doris arriving into the harbour above Huntcliff. With the ‘I do’s’ complete and a quick exit to ‘Ain’t no stopping us now’, Jaime and Andrew braved the storm as they headed out onto Saltburn pier. The wind whipped and the hailstones pounded down upon them but the battering was worth it as, much like the storm, the photos taken by Lee at Sophotogenic truly blew us all away. Of course we know you’re all wondering, ‘did they have a booth?’, you bet your bottom dollar they did, with a bespoke rose gold sequin backdrop that has since proved a popular choice with several couples looking to add a bit of glitz and glam to their night time affair.
