In an ever-changing industry, we can put our hands on our hearts and honestly say our fifth birthday is a milestone that we never thought we'd reach.
Rewind to 2012: We'd first experimented with the photobooth phenomenon at a charity ball we'd hosted. The laughter and longevity of those pictures on social media post-party whirred our business brains into action and after a bit of market research we knew this was a pie we definitely wanted a slice of. Sure, we considered investing in the more traditional photobooth unit but for us the personal touch was the key ingredient and so we set about experimenting with different options.
Our open studio booth was born and following a successful trial at one of our pip's christenings we were ready to take the wedding world by storm. With ambition from the offset, the magnificent Wynyard Hall played host to our first wedding. As the bookings rolled in we had (and continue to have) the fortune to visit some of the most amazing venues that the North-East has to offer.
A few years in, we believed so wholeheartedly in our product that we expanded the team and developed new concepts to keep us one step ahead of an ever-swelling line of competition that was snapping at our heels. When our vintage and festival booths were born they each set us apart from the crowd, yet our ability to capture the frolics of large groups and the benefit of a real person taking photos remained the key to our success.
Although we've seen many companies come and go, with bookings into 2020, and a string of customer service awards our little business shows no sign of slowing down. We're constantly amazed at the number of guests at each booking who are wowed by our booths. "This is a great idea!" is just one of the many compliments we receive on a regular basis. We're ever thankful for the feedback and positivity as it keeps us pushing forwards, perhaps to ten years and if Buzz Lightyear were to be believed, maybe even beyond.
